INTIMATE WEDDING IN THE SWITZERLAND MOUNTAINS | SIMPLON

I heard Elena and David for the first time through a Skype call and I immediately felt a strong positive energy. She’s Ukraine, him of German origin but both resident in Bern, Switzerland. A couple in love who decided to get married in a small church perched on the Sempione pass in Alte Kaserne. We met for the first time in Italy, on Lake Orta at the Hotel l’Approdo where, drinking some good coffee, we talked about the organization of their wedding. It was exciting to know that it would take place half in Switzerland and half on Lake Orta.

It was Friday at Alte Kaserne and an enveloping sun warmed the fresh mountain air. The bell of the little church, played by a child in his father’s arms, marked the progress of the bride towards her future husband. A simple ceremony but full of feeling. After a small refreshment of fresh nibbles and watermelon, we made some shots of a couple surrounded by an incredible landscape. I love to photograph my spouses in the middle of nature …

We then moved to Pettenasco, on Lake Orta, where we were waiting for an aperitif on the boat for the Island of San Giulio. Here we took some pictures of reportage to the couple and to the guests to then head to the Hotel L’Approdo where the party was held between dances, laughter and moments of emotion.
